Special
My
name is "Special" because I am such a special
little horse. My Mum "Hope" was a severe
founder case
(see
her story), and was lucky to be adopted by The
Four Harmony Foundation. |

| During
my mom's recovery, she was on a restricted diet, but kept gaining
weight. That was me growing in her tummy. The veterinarian was
consulted and they discovered the pregnancy and shortly after
I was born. I had a very difficult delivery and was born a dwarf
with sever angular limb deformities, a sow mouth, restricted
nasal passage and a broken neck vertebrae. Through the love
and care of the Foundation staff and through the expertise of
various veterinarians, chiropractic and acupuncture treatments,
stall rest and splints I am now enjoying myself out in my paddock.
I am very lucky I survived and love all my caretakers. |

have a special friend called Breana who is 3 1/2 years old.
Breana brushes me, cleans my feet and puts pretty bows in
my hair. |
